Angel Arambula (Mexico) began his studies of classic dance at the Ballet Dance Company of Baja California. Later, he turned to contemporary dance with his studies at the Mazatlan Professional School of Dance. Given his outstanding artistic work, he has received fellowships from the Baja California State Foundation for Culture and Arts on three occasions, for Individual Artistic Development in 1999 and 2002, and as Choreographer in 2006.   Angel was recognized by the Sinaloa State Fund for Culture and Arts in 2003 and by The National Fund for Culture and Arts Grant in 2005. In 2002, he became a founding member of Lux Boreal Contemporary Dance Company.   He co-directs Lux Boreal Dance Company at Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana, where he teaches and works on contemporary dance creations.
